Educational assistants (para-professionals)/volunteers/student teachers

 

Terms of Employment:       

Contract, salary, and benefits per negotiated agreement.
 
Qualifications:

Candidate must be able to obtain a valid Ohio Career Technical Certificate/License in the area of instruction with one of the following:

Some instructional experience preferred.

Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance and ability to fix, repair or troubleshoot various industrial equipment.

A willingness to participate in approved state teacher education training.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

  
Job Goal:

The teacher is the primary instructional delivery person in the classroom.  Student learning and growth are primarily dependent on the work and efforts of the classroom teacher.  The position is demanding, varied and complex.  The classroom teacher must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and be well trained in content knowledge and research based effective teaching strategies.

Conduct:
