(2) At Will One-On-One Classroom Teacher Aide Location: TBD
The position of an At Will One-On-One Classroom Teacher Aide is now open. This is a 29 hour per week position paid $15.00 per hour. NOTE: This aide position requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate. The aide will need to pass a B.C.I. and a F.B.I. check, and hold an Educational Aide Permit. The aide shall hold an Ohio Educational Aide permit as defined in section 3319.088 ORC.

JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: At Will One-On-One Classroom Aide
RESPONSIBLE TO: Building Administrator/Classroom Teacher/Director of Student Services
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: “As Needed” hourly rate of pay: per student schedule based on the school year calendar. (No more than 29 hours per week. Hours worked out with classroom teacher)
GENERAL DUTIES: Assists student per IEP goals and classroom teacher direction.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Assists the classroom teacher with students.
- Maintain contact with student(s) at all times except during employees lunch.
- Assists the classroom teacher with students.
- Individual tutorial work.
- Supervises the movement of student(s) to and from class, lunch, bus, building and grounds.
- Collects, processes, and distributes learning materials.
- Maintains confidential records of all kinds.
- Assists student(s) with clothing, feeding, lifting and transfer as needed, (could include diaper changing or toiletry).
- Assists the teacher in supervision of student(s) during outside activities such as recess and field trips.
- Assists the teacher in any other duties, which will be helpful to the teacher in providing a good educational program.
- Assists related service providers, (i.e., OT, PT, APE, Speech, etc.) with the provision of their service upon request.
- Follow student(s) IEP (individualized education plan) per teacher, building administrator and Director of Student Services direction.
- Assists the classroom teacher with students.
- Maintain correct time sheet for payroll.
- Responsible to be on time for work.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the principal, teacher and/or Director of Student Services.

- Duty to maintain confidentiality of student records and information.
The district is committed to maintaining the security and confidentiality of all student. As an At Will One on One Teacher Aide in the District, you may have access to student records and/or student personally identifiable information that must be maintained as confidential and not released and /or permitted access to except as authorized by Board policy and law. Violations of this duty may result in a reassignment and/or restriction of your At Will One on One Teacher Aide responsibilities by the building principal or designee.
At Will One on One Teacher Aide may not discuss or repeat information overheard while in the staff lounge, classrooms, offices, school grounds, hallways, school or extra-curricular activities.
Do not discuss information obtained while in a classroom, such as a student’s grade or behavior, with anyone other than the student’s teacher or the building principal. Concerns or questions regarding student records or issues of confidentiality should be brought to the attention of the staff member responsible for supervising your activates and /or the building principal. Any knowledge of a violation of these provisions must be immediately reported to the staff member responsible for supervising your activities and /or the building principal.
NOTE:

This aide position requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate. The aide will need to pass a B.C.I. & a F.B.I. check, and Para Pro test.
The aide shall hold an Ohio Educational Aide permit as defined in section 3319.088 ORC.
Employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment with the District.
